This elderly client had amassed a lifetime of cards, letters, and personal documents. Crystal first went through the stacks of paper and sorted everything into legal, medical, and financial documents, as well as mementos and photos. Then, one category at a time, Crystal made a stack of papers that could probably be trashed, another stack that probably should be shredded or destroyed, then another stack of paper that should probably be filed. The client’s work of deciding about each piece of paper was made easier by Crystal’s sorting suggestions.
